Brixham Sailing Weekend

Tom and I went back to the UK for a few days, with the intention of going down to Brixham for a sailing weekend on Mum and Dad’s sailing boat, together with my sister Caroline and Polly, her daughter. We arrived on the Friday just in time for fish and chips in the town. Very nice. I miss that. So having unloaded our stuff on the boat, we headed into the town.

Brixham Harbour

The fish and chips were awesome. Sat outside the pub next door and at those with live music from a local guitarist to listen too; along with the seagulls. Slept well that night, even sharing with Tom. more »

In the summer the boys went back to the UK for a couple of weeks. Mum and Dad took them off for a week to their boat moored in Brixham, and finally sent me a copy of the DVD they made from their trip along the south coast.

Seems like Tom and Jamie had a good time, weather looks fantastic and some of the scenery is amazing.

Anyhow, enjoy the video

Sailing in Brixham

Just spent a great few days with the family, Mum & Dad etc on their shiny new yacht in Brixham. Weather was good, not too hot, but not cold either.

We all managed to get to see my sisters’ baby, Polly, so hopefully we have put Tom off having kids any time soon ….. Tom and Polly

Kids spent a lot of their time on the dinghy, motoring around the harbour and acting as water taxi when we went to the fish and chip shop. Much quicker by boat, though why my Dad is pulling a funny face is beyond me. Dinghy

Tom learnt to fish, and I did manage to catch a decent sized Mackerel off the back of the boat; only the once though, couldn’t repeat it, think I caught the only one in the sea.

We all went to Dartmouth for a short visit, and pottered around the bay for a very relaxing break.
