Jamie was keen to go Karting for his birthday. So, we searched the web to find quite a few karting tracks within driving distance of Düsseldorf, and selected one that had a ‘kids time’ on Saturdays. So, off I went with Tom, Jamie and my bud Dean with his son Joe the weekend before to test the place out.
We all had a few goes each, 10 minute sessions costing between 8 and 10 Euros which seems pretty cheap compared with the UK. Kids all got the hang of it and Dean and I have a quick 10 minute race which he won by 0.3 of second. I blame it on having a slower car…..
So on his birthday, fresh in knowledge of the track we all went back, with a few of Jamie’s friends for another go, only to find out they had reversed the track, bummer. But, good fun was had by all, Tom was fastest of the kids, Dean beat me ‘again’. Still working on an excuse for that one.
Some photo’s below, a bit grainy and blurry as ISO setting had to be high as flash wouldn’t cope with the fast movement. Better than nothing though.
